MY RUNNING PROJECT 2026

Via Alpina in 50 days

SAD – MONACO

On July 16, 2026, I will embark on an extraordinary ultra-running project along the Alps: the Via Alpina Red from Trieste to Monaco. I will cover approximately 2,000 kilometers and around 120,000 meters of elevation gain in a maximum of 50 days. This project combines peak athletic performance with a clear message: active environmental protection through movement. During the run, I will collect trash along the route and visibly take responsibility for nature.

I am an experienced long-distance runner with over 80,000 kilometers under my belt and experience in extreme running projects. My previous challenges demonstrate how closely endurance, mental strength, and awareness are intertwined – and the attention such projects can generate. With this endeavor, I want to push athletic boundaries and set an example for sustainability and a respectful approach to our environment.

During my Via Alpina 50-day project, I will be collecting trash carelessly left behind in nature along the way. Besides the environmental pollution issue, which I want to highlight, trash is also a valuable resource from which beautiful things can be created.

MY NEW FUNDRAISING PROJECT

"What is valuable?"

We question our "throwaway mentality" and gain a new perspective on "waste" that goes beyond the conventional understanding by creating the exact opposite of "waste": jewelry! Materials such as plastic lids, candy wrappers, plastic bottles, cans and much more... are given a new life and a different value.

In the workshop Objet Trouvé – Upcycling Jewelry, workshop participants, under the guidance of Regine Landauer, create individual pieces of jewelry and jewelry objects from seemingly worthless “waste” with creativity and a spirit of experimentation, without much prior knowledge.

The proceeds from the finished jewelry pieces benefit a social project. Be a part of this fundraising project and discover the fascinating world of sustainable jewelry!

Information, dates and registration for the workshop can be found here on my website and my social media channels after the project is completed.
